Macdonald congratulates North East pharmacy award winners
North East Labour MSP Lewis Macdonald today congratulated North East winners in the 2015 Scottish Pharmacy Awards.
Five out of the ten honours were awarded to individuals or teams from the North East – the first times in the Scottish Pharmacy Awards’ 13-year history that so many of the accolades have gone to one region.
Lewis Macdonald said today:
“The success of NHS Grampian pharmacists, along with students and staff at Robert Gordon University, is something for the North East to celebrate.
“Pharmacists play a crucial role in supporting GP surgeries and the work of hospital doctors and consultants, and it is clear from these awards that NHS Grampian is lucky enough to have recruited some of the best pharmacists in the country. The awards given to RGU students and staff are also a positive sign for the future of pharmacy services in the North East.
“The hard work of pharmacists across the North East deserves to be recognised. That is why I have tabled a parliamentary motion to recognise the record-breaking achievement of NHS Grampian and RGU in this year’s awards.”
